Bengaluru: Swaramedha Sangeethotsava is not merely a music program but a unique musical service offered every year to Sri Kshetra Adichunchanagiri, said Poojya Shri Shri Prakashnath Swamiji, Managing Director of BGS Group of Educational Institutions and Head of the Kumbalagodu branch of Sri Adichunchanagiri Kshetra.
Speaking after receiving Guruvandanam and felicitations from Swaramedha Founder and Sangeetha Guru Dr. Chinmaya Rao for the successful completion of the Swaramedha Music Festival, Swamiji appreciated the remarkable contribution of Swaramedha in nurturing Carnatic classical music.
He noted that through the Swaramedha Music Festival, Adichunchanagiri Educational Institutions are significantly contributing to the preservation and promotion of Carnatic classical music in society. The efforts of Swaramedha in producing dedicated practitioners of Carnatic classical music across the world under the noble motto “Music for World Peace” are truly commendable.
Swamiji further remarked that in today’s era, when many people are increasingly drawn towards the attraction of Western music, it is both encouraging and inspiring to see thousands of people attending the Swaramedha Music Festival every year. Such cultural initiatives should continue to flourish in the future, he said.
He also emphasized that Sri Adichunchanagiri Educational Institutions have always been at the forefront of socially oriented cultural initiatives and continue to inspire the youth to take up the path of art and culture.
The Guruvandanam was held at BGS Educational Institutions, Kengeri. On this occasion, Swaramedha Trustee Smt. Sheela C Rao, BGS Educational Institutions Director Dr. Puttaraju, along with professors and administrative members of BGS College, were present.
