A vision of “Honagodu Swaramedha Utsava” By Swaramedha founder Dr. Chinmaya M. Rao
Music is nature. There is music within nature. There is beauty in nature that transcends caste, religion, country, language, superior, inferior, rich and poor. There is spirituality in that beauty. Music in the nature, beauty in the music, spirituality in that beauty, all these are contained within each other.
In a small village called Honagodu in Sagar Taluk of Shimoga district, nestled in the lap of the hills, there is a musical spirituality within the beauty of nature. A great proof of this is the birth of a musical heritage called Swaramedha – a unique concept.
“Honagodu Swaramedha Utsav” is a festival that brings such nature, such music, such beauty, such spirituality to the world from this place called Honagodu.
