Aarti Mittal is an Indian actress and model from Delhi who has steadily built a career across films, television, and digital platforms. After earning an MBA in Marketing from Manav Bharti University, Sultanpur, Solan, she chose to pursue her passion for acting and has since established herself with a diverse portfolio of roles.

She made her film debut as the positive lead, Disha, in the Hindi feature Hai Ishq Vajah. On television, Aarti has appeared in several popular shows, including Harphoul Mohini (Colors TV), Apnapan (Sony TV), where she portrayed Karunika, Banni Chow Home Delivery (Star Plus) as Parineeta, Ek Mahanayak – Dr. B.R. Ambedkar (&TV), Kundali Bhagya (Zee TV), and Rakshabandhan (Dangal TV), where she played Asharfi.

Her work in the digital space includes performances in Sanak Ek Junoon and Roohaniyat (MX Player), Karm Yudh (Disney+ Hotstar), where she shared the screen with the late Satish Kaushik, Gone Game 2 (Voot), Taj (ZEE5) alongside Naseeruddin Shah, and Explosive (Watcho and ZEE5).

In addition to acting, Aarti has made her mark as a model. She has walked the ramp for designer Bhoomi and has been featured in numerous print and commercial campaigns. Her brand collaborations include Arabian Dating Site, Mayank Creation, Spotlight Modelz, a billboard campaign for Trinity Soap in Pattaya, Thailand, and House of Platterz.

1-You are basically from which place?

Delhi.

2-Please share us about your Childhood days

I was born in Hodal. Stayed for 5 years with my grandparents there then my parents brought me to Delhi. I was a shy child you gained confidence only when I turned 15.

3-Tell us about your acting journey and how you got started in the industry? What first inspired you to pursue a career in acting?

I was destined to be an actor. I used to run my events company Plantastic Events which incurred losses in 2018 so a casting director suggested me to start shooting in Delhi to recover losses. After that there was no looking back.

4-How was your very first experience in front of camera?

I was confident. I did not get nervous and took the take like a pro.

5-When you entered to this industry, how industry people encouraged you?

My mentor Praveena Bano ji played a major role in guiding me. She passed away in 2023.

6-What type of roles do you enjoy playing the most?

Any role which challenges me as an actor.

7-Which specific role or project has been your favorite so far, and what made it so meaningful to you?

My role in Ek Mahanayak Dr B R Ambedkar inspired me to be a feminist which I already was. Yet it added icing on the cake.

8-Can you share a particularly challenging character you’ve played and how you navigated that difficulty?

I am still waiting for that role which can challenge me as an actor.

9-How do you prepare for a new role?

I only get into the character and forget who I am.

10-How do you handle rejection in the audition process?

I take rejection in my stride. It does not affect me at all.

11-How do you handle long hours on set?

I enjoy every second of being on the set.

12-How do you handle criticism from directors or fellow actors?

This is a part and parcel of our industry so honestly it doesn’t affect me at all.

13-How do you handle criticism from the public or media?

I give a damn about negative news and acknowledge positive comments and news.

14-What do you hope to achieve in your acting career in the next 5 years?

At the peak of my career.

15-What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned about the craft of acting throughout your career?

That professionalism, punctuality, and skills can only get you to the top.

16-Do you have any role models or mentors in the industry who have significantly influenced you?

Praveena Bano Ji.

17-What is something that most people don’t know about you, a hidden talent or an unexpected hobby?

I paint well.

18-If your life was a movie, what would its title be?

Khwahish.

 

19-How do you manage the pressure and stress of a busy filming schedule and the public eye?

I love my career so it doesn’t feel like pressure rather it is my passion.

20-What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received, and how has it guided you?

Don’t go by what people say. Stay focussed and keep working hard.

21-If you weren’t acting, what profession would you be doing instead, and why?

Business woman because I have a business mind plus marketing in MBA contributed more to my skills.

22-How do you define success in your career and personal life?

Success is not what they, success is what it means to you.

23-What makes you smile the most in your day-to-day life?

My dogs and family.

24-Can you tell us about your current projects and what attracted you to them?

I am still auditioning.

25-What themes or messages does this new project explore that you find important?

Learning every day.

26-Were there any particularly memorable or challenging scenes to shoot for this new film/show?

Not really!.

27-What do you hope audiences take away from your latest work?

Inspiration.

28-Are there any specific types of roles or genres you’d like to explore in the future?

Role of a psychopath.

 

29-How you are unique than other artists and how you are winning in film field competitions?

I am focussed, dedicated, punctual, and skilled and keep my ego at bay.

30-You are getting huge payment? Or producer, director and concept friendly artist?

Concept friendly for sure!

31-How is your parents support in earlier days and nowadays?

My father passed away last year. Mom has always been supportive.

32-Are you interested to do Social Service as a star?

Definitely! I have my own NGO Nukkad Education

When I met my life partner.

I consider myself fortunate to have such a supportive life partner who loves me and pampers me like a child.
