Bhumika L Madhusudan, aged 19, is a versatile, hardworking, sincere, committed, passionate, dedicated, multi-lingual Singer and Performing Artist. She is a professional Carnatic based singer who has performed over 500 concerts across India in many prestigious venues and organizations (Shrungeri, Hornaadu, Kateel during Navaratri, World famous Mysore Palace & Kalamandira for Dasara, Alva’s Nudisiri, Chembur Fine Arts of Mumbai to name a few)! She is blessed to be accompanied by several senior artists of India at this age!
State and National level Awards :
She has won many State and National level Awards – “Kalashri” State Award for Creative Performance (Music) from Balabhavan, Govt. of Karnataka in 2012, State Award for Exceptional Achievements from Women and Children Welfare Department, Govt. of Karnataka on Nov. 14th, 2017 to name a couple! She is a Graded Artist in All India Radio (AIR) in both Carnatic Devotional Music and Sugama Sangeetha in her first attempt!
She has many reviews and articles written about her performances in many National level newspapers!
She has won Amit Trivedi and Salim Sulaiman contests and met them personally at their studios in Mumbai & sung in front of them!
Track Singer Moving towards Main Playback Singing:
Though Bhumika has sung many tracks for various films for Music Directors like V Manohar, Mano Murthy and for other Music Directors,there were not much opportunities for Bhumika to become a Main Playback Singer from Track Singer.
Dr.Chinmaya M Rao, the founder of Kannada Times NGO/Eye Dreams Promotions, being a Classical Musician observing the developments of Bhumika who was aspiring to become a Playback Singer. One fine day he recommended Bhumika to a film Director who was looking for an upcoming female singer for the Telegu dubbed movie.
As a result, On July 25th 2020, Saturday (On Nagara Panchami Festival Day) Bhumika blessed to have received this opportunity to sing for the Kannada dubbed version of Telugu movie “Krishnashtami”! She’s happily sung all the female songs and duets (5 songs) for it!
Through this project, Bhumika successfully started her journey as a Playback Singer.
Practicing with Perfection :
She believes in “practicing with perfection” and treating every opportunity as a “Gem to Grow”! With the same belief, she’s rendered the songs given to her in this movie, which is technically her debut in original playback singing!
She has brought her own style & creativity to every song she’s recorded as she believes that “Diction” and “Originality” should never be compromised on!
For the recording of this Movie songs, Bhumika practiced the songs late night once she received the lyrics, she’s added her touch to the songs and received appreciation from the film maker Anil and others at Studio for singing the songs like hers own and leaving the impact of singing a Kannada song, stepping out from the Telugu influences the tune has as it’s being dubbed!
