Maestro of Music is only through the grace of Sadhguru and continuous practice: Sai Vignesh, singer of “Varaha Roopam” at Swaramedha Music Festival

Bengaluru: For musical achievement, one has to resort to Sadhguru. Music is perfect only if a disciple, under the guidance of Sadhguru, makes music practice a continuous penance. This is a life-long learning, a life-long learning that never ends. I got the opportunity for the song “VarahaRoopam” from the film “Kantara” as a result of a merit from some previous life. This is like my eternal and constant treasured song. The singer who sings this song and every audience who listens to it will definitely feel divine even today. This is the glory of God. This is the greatness and glory of music that shows us the almighty, said renowned singer Vidwan Sai Vignesh, who sang the original song “Varaha Roopam” from the film “Kantara”.

Speaking after receiving the title of “Swaramedha Sangeeta Shri” at the 9th annual Swaramedha Music Festival held at the BGS auditorium on the Uttarahalli-Kengeri main road on Saturday, he said that the work of Dr. Chinmaya Rao, the founder of Swaramedha, who is leading Carnatic classical music under the motto of “Music for World Peace”, is truly commendable. He wished this organization to grow to even greater heights. Later, when Sai Vignesh introduced his achievement to the audience by adding special musical notes to the song “Varaha Roopam”, the applause in the hall was deafening.

Speaking after receiving the title of “Swaramedha SangeethaVibhushana”, renowned saxophone artist Vidwan Sridhar Sagar said that “Swaramedha founder Chinmaya Rao and I, both of us are from Sagar in Shimoga district. It is truly a thrilling thing for an artist from our village to invite another artist from our village to another town, namely in this metropolis called Bangalore, and honor him with the title. The honor and title we receive from our native people and from our people will be unforgettable in our lives.” He wished Swaramedha to grow and become famous all over the world. Then he played famous songs on his saxophone and mesmerized the audience.

Speaking after receiving the title of “Swaramedha SangeethaRatna”, 98-year-old veteran Flute Player Vidwan B.G. Srinivas said that there is no age limit for musical achievement. Those who achieve musical achievement do not realize that they are old. He wished the music students well, saying that music is a source that constantly gives us vitality.

Professor Dr. Ramachandra Bhat Kotemane, founder of Vedavijnana Gurukul in Channenahalli, who participated as the Chief Guest, said that work is more important than words. Swaramedha is silently achieving without any fanfare by transforming musical works into works through the achievements of its students. May this achievement continue forever, and may Swaramedha grow and shine, he wished them well. Another Chief Guest, Shri Rajarajeshwari Temple Trustee Shri Hayagreevachar, spoke and said that it is truly amazing that the Swaramedha Institute has inspired so many students to pursue classical music in just 9 years. He said that if more such institutions are active in the society, it will be easier to pass on our classical music and culture to the next generation.

A five-hour long program of singing Canratic Classical Music and the Swaramedha Awards was held. The Swaramedha students singing program that was held from 12 noon to 5 pm, before singing the musical works, the students explained the details of the singers and the emotional interpretation of the works. More than 70 students of the Swaramedha Music School created a new record by singing Thyagaraja’s Sadhinchane and the works of the Endharo Mahanubhavulu Pancharatna together before the assembly program. The students’ singing was accompanied by the Mridangam of Vidwan Gopalakrishna, Vidwan Ravishankar and the Violin of Vidwan Shashidhar.

Founder of Swaramedha Dr. Chinmaya Rao, President CA Bharat Rao KS, Trustee Sheela C Rao, Honorary Advisor Anki Reddy, Businessman Rajesh Babu and Gosevak Mahendra Munnot were present on the occasion. Meena Shantala, Sheela C Rao, Shubhapradha, Achal Bapat and Swaramedha students anchored the program. At the end of the program, all the students who sang in this festival were encouraged by the dignitaries on the stage with Mementoes and Certificates.
