Vidushi Smt. Deepa Bhagwat
Vidushi Smt. Deepa Bhagwat is a renowned Bharatanatyam dancer, born to esteemed Guru Smt. Seema Bhagwat and Shri. Pradeep Bhagwat. Under her mother’s guidance, Deepa began learning Bharatanatyam at a young age, demonstrating exceptional dedication and talent. She completed her Vidwat proficiency exam at the age of 19.
Deepa’s notable achievements include being a Graded Artist of Doordarshan, (India’s national broadcasting network.)She secured the 1st rank and gold medal in Master of Performing Arts (Bharatanatyam) from Jain University, Bangalore in 2019. Deepa has also been awarded “Laasya Nipune” by Lasya Academy of Dance, Bangalore, and is a recipient of the prestigious ‘Keladi Chennamma’ award by the Department of Women and Child Development.
As a seasoned artist, Deepa has choreographed numerous Bharatanatyam dance items, performed at prestigious cultural festivals across India. Deepa’s expertise extends to Nattuvanga and Carnatic music as well.
As Co-Founder of Nrutya Nada Academy, alongside her husband Vidwan Deepak Hebbar, a renowned flautist, Deepa is dedicated to preserving and promoting India’s cultural heritage. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes technical excellence, artistic expression, and cultural understanding.
Kum. Apoorva Arun Virupakshi
We are delighted to share the artistic journey of Kum. Apoorva Arun Virupakshi, daughter of Smt. Rajalakshmi Arun Virupakshi and Shri Arun Vir- upakshi. From a very young age, she developed a deep love for Bharatanatyam. At the age of eight, she began her dance journey under the guidance of Vid. Deepa Bhagawat. Through years of hard work and disciplined training, she successfully cleared her prathama, praveshika exam under Gandharva University, she achieved a major milestone by successfully completing her Junior Examination in Bharatanatyam with a distinction under Gangubai Hangal University.
Currently she is studying 8th grade at Prarthana Central School.
Her love for the arts goes beyond dance. Kum. Apoorva has also embraced Carnatic music under the guidance of Guru Dr. Chinmaya M Rao.
Kum Druthi Acharya
Kum Druthi Acharya, daughter of Smt. Jyothi Bhat and Shri Devadatta Acharya has always been fascinated by dance. She started her Bharatanatyam journey at the tender age of seven and began her formal training in Bharatanatyam under Guru Vid. Deepa Bhagavat who unlocked her inherent potential and refined the artistic skills.
She successfully cleared her Prathama Praveshika exams under Gandharva University and also cleared her junior exam with distinction under Gangubai Hangal University demonstrating her exceptional talent and dedication to the art form.
Her passion for the arts extends beyond Bharatanatyam. From past six years she is learning Carnatic Music under Guru Dr. Chinmaya M Rao and attended Junior exam in 2026 may under Gangubhai Hangal University. Her other interests include Keyboard, Mandala Art and Madhubani painting. Currently she is persuing 7th Std. at Rashtrothana Vidya Kendra Banashankari.
