For the first time in Bangalore Bengalee community of Bangalore celebrated Robindra Jayanti in such a grand way!

Bharatiya Bongio Samaj in association with Ananda Samagame Academy celebrated 161st Birth Anniversary of Kobi Guru Rabindranath Tagore on 29th May 2022 at Rabindra Kalashetra in Bangalore. For the first time in Bangalore Bengalee community of Bangalore celebrated Robindra Jayanti in such a grand way.

Shri PC Mohan, Hon’ble Member of Parliament of Bangalore Central, Shri Chakravarty sulibele, renowned Kannada Writer and Social activist, Shri Vishwakarma DRK, Member in Program Committee of South-Central Zone Cultural Center Ministry of Tourism and Culture Govt of India were present in the event as the special dignitaries.
The main focus of this event was to portray cultural connection between Bengal and Karnataka, which started from Tagore’s time. The original version of the anthem of Mysore Province was performed in Kannada and also the Bengali version which Kobiguru Rabindranath Tagore wrote, inspired by the same. More than 500 Bengalees joined this event.

Bharatiya Bongio Samaj also announced 2-day Kannada Workshop in Bangalore in June 2022 during this event and requested all bengalees to join the workshop. Shri PC Mohan and Shri Chakravarty Sulibele appreciated this initiative taken by the organization.
